Dad's been doing a lot of the writing lately, so it's my turn to talk about some of my favorite things. I've been showing off my expanded vocabulary at home lately, and now I want to show off my writing skills to update you on some of my new awesomeness. While it might sound like I'm tooting my own horn, remember that you all taught me about how awesome I am, so you shouldn't be surprised. So, on with my awesomeness.
Have any of you heard of the Wiggles? Yiayia recently introduced me to the 'Beatles for Kids' and they rock! If you haven't heard 'Hot Potatoes' you're missing out. 'You Make Me Feel Like Dancing' and 'Monkey Man' are also lots of fun. I love to sing and dance along to the Wiggles (I've even started memorizing the songs), and I request them constantly at home and in the car. Check out my moves in the video.
Another favorite pal of mine is The Grinch (aka 'The Nint' as I like to say). Daddy was flipping the channels on Christmas night and happened upon the short film of How the Grinch Stole Christmas. I was mesmerized and hooked on the spot! The Nint has bright red eyes and funky teeth and shoes two sizes too small. He also likes to dress up like Santa (fun) and his house is in a mountain. It wasn't long before I was wandering around the house saying, 'Nint, House, Mountain' over and over until Daddy showed me the movie or read me the book! It might not be Christmas season anymore, but the word 'season' is not in my vocabulary. I can't wait to take the Nint to the beach this summer.
Another favorite pastime of mine is climbing. If there's a step somewhere, I'm stepping on it. If there's a chair or couch or even a stool around, I'm gonna make my way to the top and then jump off. Don't test me, and don't take your eyes off of me. Situ doesn't like it, but Daddy secretly loves it.
Speaking of climbing, Mommy and Daddy recently signed me up for weekly classes at The Little Gym. It's kinda like playing at the playground but Mommy doesn't have to be sad that it's too cold. (I, like other children, am never cold when I'm playing outside.) Anyway, the class is 45 minutes of running, climbing, rolling and sliding. I even learn new gross motor skills each week (vroom vroom!). This week I learned to walk 10 feet across a balance beam with a bean bag in each hand. As I said previously, I'm clearly awesome.
Finally, I'm also signed up for an art/motion class on Friday mornings called Toddlers in Motion. I get to wear a smock and play with real glue and paint to produce artistic masterpieces. I'm also a pro when it comes to Circle Time activities of singing, marching and dancing. And I love when Miss Janine blows bubbles - they taste almost as good as my boogies.
These are a few of my favorite things. Plus lollipops ('pop,' which I love to bite). And Trader Joe's Cereal Bars. And dinosaurs. Oh and Winnie the Pooh - I can't wait to have breakfast with him at Disney World for my birthday!
What are some of your favorite things? Feel free to share with me (which is another of my favorite things...).
Love,
Zoe.
