hey ziggy/zoe fans,
happy April! i hear April showers bring May flowers, so i can't wait to enjoy all of the colors and sounds of Spring.
but today, mom and dad gave me an early taste of life on the outside. even though it was 40 degrees and raining, dad took me on my first trip to the park. he bundled me up in a blanket and pulled down the shade on my stroller, and wee started our walk. my legs got a little wet, but it's okay. the park was great -- dad sat me down in the grass and gave me some "tummy time" in the mud. that stuff is messy but fun! dad thinks the exposure will strengthen my immune system.
after the park we walked to the local Dairy Queen. Mom gave me a taste of her vanilla ice cream. it's a lot like breastmilk only colder and sweeter! i can't wait to go back.
after Dairy Queen, mom went to the supermarket, but dad took me for a ride in our convertible. since it was raining we had to keep the top up, but dad held me tightly in his arms while he drove so i could stay warm and safe. on the way back home we stopped at the high school parking lot and dad let me drive a little!
all of the excitement of the afternoon wore me out, so i came home for a much-needed nap. Mom thought i would enjoy spreading my arms and legs way out, so she put me on my stomach all by myself on her bed. it was a little cold so she put the covers over me, too. don't worry, she took the covers away after she and dad got back from the restaurant.
that's it for my afternoon, but i can't wait until tonight's "campfire" theme -- dad is making me s'mores and we are going to sleep in a tent in the backyard. i'll tell you all about it tomorrow!
Love,
Zoe.
PS Happy April Fool's Day!
